Sr. Staff CPU Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create software/firmware test plans, addressing requirements traceability and test coverage.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software/firmware test suites for functional, integration, and system-level verification.
• Manually test customer experience for installation and deployment in mobile, compute, and automotive environments.
• Assist in creating Quality Engineering and Release engineering processes with an emphasis on CI/CD.
• Implement customer use-cases and workload analysis models to achieve production-level software readiness.
• Identify opportunities for power and performance enhancements within existing Operating Systems and customer environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent advanced degree with less experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Proven experience in software or firmware validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software/Firmware Validation.
• 5+ years of demonstrated software test engineering with a focus on Data Center Servers.
• Strong expertise in software/firmware test automation techniques.
• Extensive experience with operating systems such as Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, or Windows Server.
• Experience developing automated test cases for server platforms to support bring-up and production releases.
• Knowledge of BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, or OS integration for x86, ARM64, or RISC-V architectures.
