Sr Staff Communications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead global business communications, including the creation of press releases and managing Tokyo Stock Exchange disclosures in English.
• Manage media relations and press conferences for both domestic and international audiences.
• Design and execute communication strategies for high-stakes business projects, such as M&A activities.
• Develop messaging and information dissemination plans for crisis management and risk communication.
• Support senior executives and the CEO with external information dissemination and media interview preparation.
• Plan and manage social media content and related communication activities to maximize brand impact.

Requirements

• Native or equivalent proficiency in both Japanese and English, with strong writing and communication skills in both languages.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong execution skills and the ability to see complex tasks through to completion.
• A strong desire to build a long-term career within the communications function.
• Flexibility to handle occasional late-night or weekend work due to the nature of global media and crisis management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in public relations, marketing, IR, or strategic corporate communications.
• Experience with stock exchange disclosures, financial results briefings, or press conference management.
• Experience managing crisis communications or sensitive business projects like M&A.
• Experience supporting C-suite or senior executive communications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a multicultural, global environment.
