Sr. SQL Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Own the administration and operational health of Microsoft SQL Server environments across development, test, and production
• Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions, including Always On Availability Groups
• Investigate and resolve complex performance issues such as blocking, deadlocks, failed jobs, and resource contention
• Collaborate with application teams to tune queries, indexes, statistics, and execution plans
• Implement and maintain database security, user access, and privileged access workflows using PAM solutions and BeyondTrust
• Automate routine DBA tasks, support upgrades and migrations, and maintain clear operational documentation and recovery runbooks

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production environments
• Strong expertise in performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability architectures
• Proven experience migrating SQL Server from 2016 to newer versions in an Always On Availability Group setup
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL scripting, troubleshooting, and automation
• Experience with SQL Server Agent, replication, clustering, or CDC in enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience managing database security, auditing, privileged access management (including BeyondTrust), and data masking
