Sr. Specialist, Transportation Management

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of a best-in-class Transportation Management System (e.g., SAP TM) to streamline inbound logistics
• Architect and implement a multi-modal inbound transportation strategy including LTL, FTL, small parcel, ocean, and air freight
• Own the end-to-end RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) process for inbound transportation services
• Oversee logistics service providers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and operational KPIs
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing transportation flows and performance data
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound logistics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field
• 7+ years of automotive OEM experience in inbound logistics planning
• Professional background with FTL/LTL carriers or brokers
• Experience designing and executing multimodal inbound transportation sourcing strategies
• Expertise in implementing and managing Transportation Management Systems like SAP TM
• Proven track record in logistics service provider selection and contract support
• Strong project management and analytical skills
