Sr. Specialist, Systems Engineering (Orbital Analyst)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for algorithm development, quantitative analysis, and orbit determination
• Support programs by creating models, simulations, and analysis tools for national security space activities
• Collaborate with software development teams to implement and validate models
• Develop new algorithms and processes to enhance current tool capabilities
• Provide technical input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables
• Act as a technical lead for limited aspects of a project

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of related experience, or Graduate Degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience with Spacecraft Operations and Orbit Analysis
• Knowledge of ephemeris and orbit determination

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with STK/Astrogator, Astrodynamics Standards, SOAP, or Pro Engineer
• Experience with Astrodynamics Support Workstation (ASW)
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Java, Parallel Computing, or UNIX/Linux
• Experience with JSON and XML for data exchange and API definitions
• Experience in Space Domain Awareness missions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
