About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze repair concepts for Scout vehicles to define requirements for special tools and workshop equipment
  • Drive early serviceability integration by collaborating with Engineering during vehicle development
  • Evaluate and define make-or-buy strategies for special tools and equipment
  • Lead the design, development, validation, and release of new special tools
  • Establish and maintain global standards and specifications for workshop tools
  • Conduct technical assessments to support supplier selection and qualification
  • Own the lifecycle management of special tools including updates and obsolescence
  • Coordinate tool inclusion within official catalogues and digital systems
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Define and implement tool validation processes including field testing and usability
  • Support digitalization initiatives for tool integration with diagnostics and AI solutions
  • Develop technical documentation and training concepts for tool usage and maintenance
  • Provide technical support to workshops and mobile services
  • Monitor field feedback to improve tool design and effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Aftersales, Quality, and Operations
  • Contribute to budget planning and cost optimization for equipment programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or related field
  • Several years of experience in special tools and workshop equipment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle technologies, repair concepts, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with automotive engineering principles
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to identify complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver's license and passport required
