About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable build systems for secondary ECU software ensuring deterministic and reproducible binary outputs
  • Own end-to-end binary generation pipelines including compilation, linking, packaging, and versioning for embedded ECUs
  • Manage build configurations across multiple ECU variants, hardware revisions, and vehicle programs
  • Ensure correct generation of firmware images, bootloaders, application binaries, calibration files, and configuration artifacts
  • Optimize build performance, parallelization, caching strategies, and distributed build execution
  • Own artifact lifecycle management including storage, versioning, traceability, and retention policies
  • Implement strict traceability between source code, build, artifact, and vehicle release
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Implement pipelines for cross-compilation of embedded software, static analysis, and validation checks
  • Develop tooling to generate custom ECU builds and vehicle-level software packages
  • Coordinate release schedules and resolve integration issues

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
  • Proficiency in UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229)
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • ALM/PLM proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, dSpace control desk, and automation desk
  • Familiarity with A2B, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS, and vehicle network tools like CANalyzer or CANoe
