About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal investigations regarding allegations of fraud, corruption, harassment, discrimination, and other misconduct.
  • Analyze financial records, transactions, and accounting data to identify irregularities or potential financial misconduct.
  • Manage the whistleblower reporting system, ensuring proper intake, documentation, and timely follow-up.
  • Conduct investigative interviews with employees, management, and third parties to gather evidence.
  • Prepare detailed research reports for executives, including findings, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees and management on ethics, compliance topics, and financial integrity.
  • Monitor the implementation of remediation plans and corrective actions resulting from investigations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional investigations with Legal, HR, and Internal Audit departments.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in Corporate Compliance, Internal Audit, Forensic Accounting, or Corporate Investigations.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (required for conducting interviews and preparing reports).
  • Proven experience analyzing financial data, general ledgers, and procurement activities to detect anomalies.
  • Strong investigative interviewing and fact-finding skills.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Advanced Excel or Power BI.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and internationally (US Visa required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CCEP, CFI, or CICO.
  • Experience conducting investigations in Latin America or other high-risk regions.
  • Experience handling third-party due diligence and vendor risk investigations.
  • Background working in multinational manufacturing or automotive sectors.
