About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute and validate full OTA workflows including package download, verification, flashing, and post-update validation
  • Test single and multi-ECU coordinated updates, including delta and full-image updates
  • Validate update sequencing, dependency management, and A/B partitioning/rollback mechanisms
  • Test OTA interactions with ECU bootloaders, flash drivers, and memory partitions
  • Perform validation using UDS (ISO 14229) over CAN and DoIP
  • Develop tools for OTA test orchestration, automated flashing, and log parsing
  • Design and execute edge-case scenarios such as power loss during flashing and network interruptions
  • Design scalable regression test suites across SIL, HIL, and vehicle infrastructure
  • Analyze CAN/Ethernet logs for intermittent failures and system-level integration issues
  • Own vehicle-level regression test planning and drive root cause analysis

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks
  • Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, DoIP)
  • Expertise in UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Experience with Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Proficiency in ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and HIL environments (dSpace control desk/automation desk)
  • Familiarity with vehicle network tools like CANalyzer or CANoe
