About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for secondary ECU software and full vehicle software releases
- Automate build, integration, validation, and packaging workflows across multiple ECU domains
- Develop orchestration frameworks for incremental builds, multi-ECU dependency management, and release traceability
- Optimize pipeline execution time, scalability, and reliability
- Automate vehicle manifest generation, package signing, and OTA release bundle creation
- Support coordinated software releases across body ECUs, gateway ECUs, infotainment, and ADAS/Autonomy modules
- Build release gating and approval workflows for production vehicle software
- Integrate automated validation into CI pipelines including unit, integration, SIL/HIL testing, and regression suites
- Develop automation around containerized build environments and cross-compilation toolchains
- Manage versioning strategy, release branching, and dependency management across ECU software stacks
- Ensure reproducible builds with traceability from commit to artifact to vehicle
- Design and manage artifact storage and distribution systems for firmware and calibration data
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Proficiency in UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229)
- Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
- ALM/PLM proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and HIL test environments (dSpace)
- Familiarity with vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer or CANoe
