Sr Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Test the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and applications
• Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and scripts to detect software problems
• Create automation scripts using Python and other scripting languages
• Support the development of system and software requirements
• Create test reports used for regulatory submissions
• Perform workflow analysis, document test results, and recommend quality improvements
• Work with development teams to resolve software defects and diagnose product configurations
• Review test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies
• Conduct tool validation activities

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD with 0 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Experience in test plan development
• Strong skills in software defect diagnosis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments
• Experience with test case management software tools
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion or DOORS
• Experience developing and maintaining automated testing systems
• Experience testing software-controlled hardware devices
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Security and Risk analysis
