Sr Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and provide technical oversight for software engineers and project engineers in an Agile environment
• Oversee the design, development, integration, and testing of embedded waveform software applications for software-defined radio architectures
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance measurement
• Create and implement strategic workforce and staffing plans, including recruiting, hiring, and career development
• Collaborate across engineering teams to identify efficiencies and develop best practices
• Participate in the development of engineering bids and proposals

Requirements

• US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in software development, integration, and testing
• Proficiency in C++ and working knowledge of embedded software development
• Experience with cost account management (EVMS) and schedule management
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software-defined radio architectures and networking communications waveforms
• Experience serving as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Release Train Engineer in Agile environments
• High-level understanding of systems, cryptographic, FPGA, and hardware engineering
• Domain knowledge in network communications, datalinks, and platform integration
• Current or recent Secret security clearance
