Sr. Software Engineer - Platform Services

Responsibilities

• Develop resilient distributed services and high-quality tooling to support product operations and engineering
• Investigate and debug complex issues that span across multiple teams and applications
• Drive software delivery improvements and enhance engineering processes for software development and release
• Work at the intersection of application, infrastructure, and operations to promote developer velocity and automation

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend software engineering
• Proficiency in developing with server-side object-oriented languages, specifically Java
• Proficiency with Linux environments
• Familiarity with HTTP, REST, and web APIs
• Familiarity with infrastructure components including CI/CD, monitoring, logging, containers, and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code

• Ability to work independently with a strong bias for action
• Experience thriving in ambiguous environments without clear-cut solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to dig into new problems and unfamiliar codebases
