Sr Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for repeatable and scalable deployments
• Drive end-to-end delivery, including CI/CD pipeline design and infrastructure automation
• Participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure Braintree's scalability, reliability, and security
• Introduce advanced performance monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address potential issues
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Strengthen security practices and conduct regular audits to ensure infrastructure robustness
• Collaborate with tech leads, architects, and multiple engineering teams to advance large initiatives
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for managed services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 years of experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or SUSE)
• 5 years of experience with Shell scripting
• 5 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• 5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting
• 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture
• 5 years of experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC)
• 5 years of experience with Kubernetes, EKS, or AKS
• 5 years of experience with Apache or Nginx
