Sr. Software Engineer - Java, AVP

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs and applications using Java, SQL, and other related engineering languages.
• Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of Alpha Data Platform modules as a senior member of an agile scrum team.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable software solutions for complex problems.
• Provide technical guidance and critical analysis during code reviews and direct problem-solving for major project phases.
• Write unit and automation tests to ensure high-quality products and improve development test methodologies.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance for large, mission-critical client implementations and support customer teams.
• Engage in the full agile software development lifecycle, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with RDBMS.
• Experience with cloud-native services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field.
• Experience with Kafka, Snowflake, Kubernetes, or Tomcat.
• Experience with Azure Cloud.
• Proficiency with Spring, Microservices, and React.
