Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and operations of highly scalable, distributed, and data-intensive microservices
• Implement technical solutions through the full lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment
• Perform code reviews and adopt industry best practices to maintain clean, maintainable code and improve development standards
• Partner with Architects, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to drive business outcomes through technical solutions
• Work with SREs to meet SLAs for large-scale microservices via monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizations
• Participate in on-call rotations to assist with the detection, recovery, and postmortems of production incidents

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of experience building and running medium to large-scale systems
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and data management
• Exceptional proficiency in the Java programming language
• Hands-on experience with Information Retrieval using Lucene, ElasticSearch, or OpenSearch
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure platforms, specifically AWS
• Hands-on experience with database systems such as MySQL or DynamoDB

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Vector Databases and ML Infrastructure
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs and Graph databases
• Experience monitoring and improving the reliability of complex systems at scale
• Awareness of security and compliance challenges in cloud products and platforms
