Sr Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure software meets business and operational needs
• Build high-quality code following unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) principles
• Drive and participate in code and document reviews while mentoring the team in best practices
• Collaborate with peer organizations, DevOps, and support teams to resolve technical issues
• Interpret business needs into technical requirements and accurate project estimates
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high performance and quality
• Focus on the scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable, customer-facing web and software applications
• 2+ years of experience working with Python and Java web frameworks
• 2+ years of experience with Selenium, Jasmine, Cucumber, or other test frameworks
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
• Experience with backend data stores such as DynamoDB, Aurora, or other data stores
• Experience designing and building REST web services using XML/JSON

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing highly scalable and highly available distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go
• Solid knowledge of full-stack development methodologies
• Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex business problems
