Sr Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop routing control-plane services, including route computation, convergence handling, and distributed reconciliation logic.
• Build networking intelligence for service-to-service routing, connectivity policies, and multi-tenant behavior.
• Contribute to system architecture supporting high availability, deterministic failover, and scale-out routing state distribution.
• Develop testing strategies for route scale, convergence timing, and failure simulation under realistic networking conditions.
• Build tooling for debuggability, policy traceability, and routing event visibility in production environments.
• Partner with product and cloud teams to align with AWS, Azure, and GCP networking primitives.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive excellence in networking and cloud-native design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on networking control-plane development, distributed networking systems, SDN, or cloud network orchestration.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing logic, distributed state management, or networking control-plane development.
• Practical experience with advanced networking concepts such as route policy frameworks, peering models, L3VPNs, or EVPN-style overlays.
• Solid understanding of distributed system fundamentals including eventual consistency, consensus models (e.g., Raft), and cluster coordination.
• Experience with cloud-native networking, including Kubernetes networking or large-scale multi-cloud connectivity models.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including namespaces and networking internals.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
