Sr. Software Development Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering - BIM & AI Technologies

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable solutions for complex problems in the BIM and design automation space
• Lead the development of new features and services to accelerate data center design projects
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices
• Collaborate with applied scientists to productionize ML models for BIM and AECO applications
• Design and implement integrations between BIM platforms (e.g., Autodesk Platform Services, Revit) and AWS services
• Implement human-in-the-loop (HITL) workflows that combine engineering expertise with AI automation
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
• Drive technical discussions and build consensus on architectural decisions across partner teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• 7+ years of experience developing Building Information Modeling (BIM) software solutions for the AECO industry
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including testing and operations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications in AECO industry problems
• Experience with BIM software platforms and APIs such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Forma, or Autodesk Platform Services
