About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on daily supervision of field crews and subcontractors for mechanical, electrical, and controls installation.
- Lead daily task planning, crew assignments, and short-interval execution sequencing.
- Monitor labor performance, installation productivity, and expenses against project plans and budgets.
- Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, phased cutovers, and operational work windows within active airport environments.
- Manage site logistics including material staging, warehouse flow, and equipment availability.
- Ensure all work complies with safety requirements, permits, quality standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Serve as the primary on-site representative for the customer and subcontractors.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of baggage handling system (BHS) project installation, retrofit, or expansion experience.
- Proven experience leading mechanical, electrical, and controls field teams.
- Strong knowledge of phased installations, shutdown planning, and live operational cutovers.
- Project management experience with the ability to monitor labor budgets and forecast production.
- Ability to travel 80-90% as per business needs, including extended periods.
- Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badges and airside driving privileges.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
