Sr Scientist, Structural Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Apply cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography to determine high-resolution structures of proteins and macromolecular complexes to support drug discovery
• Conduct full cryo-EM workflows, including grid preparation, data collection, image processing, 3D reconstruction, and model building
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural insights into medicinal chemistry and biologics design efforts
• Contribute to the operation, optimization, and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation and workflows
• Present scientific results clearly to internal project teams and contribute to publications and reports
• Independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to deliver impactful results

Requirements

• PhD in Structural Biology or a related field
• Postdoctoral training in solving atomic resolution structures of macromolecular complexes
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural biology
• Experience in cryo-EM workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in single-particle cryo-EM (grid preparation, optimization, data acquisition, and 3D reconstruction)
• Hands-on experience in recombinant protein construct design, expression, purification, and characterization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a matrixed team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
