Sr. Risk Specialist

Responsibilities

• Research data issues using SQL and other methods to determine root cause and patterns.
• Partner with analyst teams as a subject matter expert to support the deployment and monitoring of data quality controls.
• Leverage AI tools to improve processes and deliver operational efficiencies.
• Oversee the data issue resolution lifecycle from identification through closure by collaborating with Tech partners and Line of Business data producers.
• Ensure Data Management Activities are completed, including Lineage, Change Management, Metadata, and Controls.
• Maintain documentation for multiple controls to support testing, audit, and regulatory examinations.
• Contribute to and deliver presentations communicating recommendations and project statuses to senior leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of experience working in an agile environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in writing scripts in SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1+ year of experience managing JIRA stories.
• 1+ year of experience working with enterprise data management tools (e.g., Exchange or DMSR).
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as SQL or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Governance, Compliance, or Risk Management.
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certification.
• Strong critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills.
