Sr RF Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA services supporting space and ground communication networks for multiple satellite systems.
• Evaluate enterprise-level architecture designs and provide technical recommendations for program integration.
• Attend design reviews at the Enterprise, System, Subsystem, and Segment levels to assess maturity and requirements compliance.
• Perform independent reviews of contractor communication designs to ensure mission needs and constraints are met.
• Prepare and review test plans, procedures, and verification/validation plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor contractor-level risks and proactively recommend mitigation approaches to the Program Office.
• Support the design, development, and testing of RF (Ka, Ku, S, etc.) and laser communication systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 15 years of related experience (or 12+ years with a Master's, or 9+ years with a PhD).
• Expertise in RF and laser communication systems.
• Strong briefing, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with defense and intelligence acquisition, budget planning, and contracting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) frequency allocation rules.
• Familiarity with Internet Protocols and Cryptography implementation.
• Experience with space-to-space, space-to-ground, and ground-to-ground communication networks.
• Understanding of mesh architecture and Information Assurance accreditation.
