Sr. Reliability Engineer - Hardware/Electrical

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and Design of Experiments (DOE) constructs.
• Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures to achieve required product reliability levels.
• Complete risk analysis studies for new designs and processes.
• Compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics to investigate variables affecting product and processes.
• Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
• Develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer, and governmental agency objectives.
• Propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and process reliability.
• Support Affera Capital (HW) equipment DRM, change management, and risk response.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD with 0 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thorough understanding and experience in design controls, V&V, and Risk Management (both commercial and development).
• Experience with medical device industry standards including 21CFR820, ISO13485, and ISO14971.
• Background in Electrical or Electronic engineering.
• Strong system-thinking and process mapping skills with the ability to identify interfaces and dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and coordinating complex assignments with cross-functional teams.
