About the role
Responsibilities
- Promote the PreventionGenetics clinical genetic testing portfolio to grow existing accounts and develop new business
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and client contacts to achieve territory business goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients and establish rapport with potential new clients
- Generate revenue through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales
- Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques
- Update and track client information and correspondence within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Participate in company-sponsored trade shows, national genetic conferences, and meetings
- Provide input to Clinical Laboratory staff and management regarding test development and marketing
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Biology, or Chemistry
- Knowledge of genetic testing or clinical genetics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and professional presentation skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including potential overnight or weekend travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional sales experience
- Working knowledge of CRM applications
