About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for the Precision Fastening team regarding test methods, product requirements, and reliability.
- Develop critical to quality (CTQ) requirements through collaboration with product management and user needs research.
- Design experimental techniques and implement testing best practices to improve development efforts.
- Develop test procedures and plans to evaluate product performance against user and product requirements.
- Perform data analysis, post-processing, and visualization of test data using statistical techniques.
- Communicate test results and implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions following failure reporting.
- Collaborate with global testing, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve testing issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines).
- 5+ years of experience in reliability, test engineering, or quality engineering.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and expertise in statistical applications such as DOE, sampling, regression, FMEAs, and hypothesis testing.
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics software (e.g., Python, nCode Glyphworks, Dewesoft, or LabVIEW).
- Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull++).
- Knowledge of measurement system analysis and capability studies (Gage R&R, Process/Machine Capability).
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault detection, and failure analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
