About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of capital engineering projects to ensure alignment with productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
- Act as a liaison between project engineers, planning teams, and line management to facilitate communication and coordination.
- Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare comprehensive status reports.
- Develop plans for short-term work activities and lead process technology transfers in accordance with site and company guidance.
- Conduct risk analysis with internal and external sites and support the introduction of new materials.
- Hire, develop, and mentor technical team members to maintain high skill set capabilities.
- Complete facility fit assessments for process transfers and facility design, including the development of mass balances and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
Requirements
- High school diploma with 8+ years of experience, Associate’s degree with 6+ years, or BA/BS with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Intimate knowledge of OSHA and EHS requirements.
- Strong background in managing construction activities.
- Ability to read and understand construction design drawings (civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, and structural).
- Experience in process development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and quality control.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical Manufacturing operations.
- Deep understanding of process automation technology.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot) to support problem-solving and enhance productivity.
