Sr. Program Manager, Upstream Defect Elimination (UDE)

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact Upstream Defect Elimination (UDE) projects focused on cost optimization and revenue generation.
• Identify systemic defects and influence upstream team roadmaps to drive strategic defect prevention.
• Establish comprehensive governance frameworks, including pipeline development, quality controls, and executive reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership (L7-L8) across multiple VP organizations to prioritize defect elimination initiatives.
• Drive headcount optimization goals through strategic UDE implementation and robust pipeline management.
• Conduct root cause analysis on systemic defects and design end-to-end upstream solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Proven experience managing complex, cross-organizational initiatives spanning multiple VP organizations.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen to quantify business impact and savings metrics.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting root cause analysis and designing upstream solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical roadmaps without direct authority.
• Experience managing engineering dependencies and navigating technical complexities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with supply chain operations, vendor management, or retail systems.
• Background in defect elimination, process optimization, or operational excellence.
• Proficiency with SQL queries.
• Project Management or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) certification.
• Master's degree or MBA in a relevant business or operations field.
