Sr Product Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, stable, and scalable backend systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting
• Lead high-level architecture discussions, author technical proposals, and establish team standards for quality
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support systems and services during production incidents
• Provide mentoring and technical advice to other engineers within the team
• Contribute to the technical community through presentations, tech talks, and knowledge-sharing efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience crafting backend architectures and delivering production applications
• Validated knowledge of large-scale, high-availability backend services and JVM services
• Expertise in functional programming patterns and building RESTful services using Scala APIs
• Experience operating within a Public Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS
• Understanding of observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, or Grafana)
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
