Sr. Product Engineer (Single-Phase UPS)

Responsibilities

• Lead product development programs and sustaining activities for single-phase UPS systems.
• Drive product improvements by translating customer needs and field application lessons into R&D initiatives.
• Develop and execute engineering test cases in collaboration with Lead Test Engineers.
• Implement design changes to address product issues, pursue cost-reduction opportunities, or add product value.
• Evaluate alternative components to manage obsolescence and improve product performance.
• Coordinate change order processes and produce technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
• Provide technical support for special field applications and service-related issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, service, and testing teams to define product specifications and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of experience in power infrastructure, UPS, power conversion, or related electrical engineering areas.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power components and assemblies.
• Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work onsite in Delaware, OH.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (10–20%) for field support and customer engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modular UPS systems or lithium-ion battery integration.
• Familiarity with global compliance standards such as UL or IEC.
• Knowledge of mechanical design using 2D CAD.
• Experience with AI-enabled monitoring or predictive maintenance technologies.
• Understanding of NEC or NFPA 855 standards.
