About the role
Responsibilities
- Interface with internal and external suppliers, engineering, and program leadership to develop cost reduction activities and mitigate process defects
- Act as a liaison between the factory and program teams to improve the producibility of complex RF electronics components and assemblies
- Use statistical analysis to promote effective design choices and drive continuous improvement through Six Sigma principles
- Troubleshoot issues to establish root cause corrective actions and support ongoing development builds in a clean room environment
- Implement new products, processes, policies, and standards to support functional strategy and operational plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
- In-depth knowledge of MIL-STD-883, J-STD-001H, and AS9100
- Experience with RF microelectronics in a production environment
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical trade studies to customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field
- Knowledge of program life cycles, MRL/TRL requirements, and DFMA/DPD processes
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT), wire bond, and other electronic assembly processes
- Proficiency in running designed experiments (DOEs) and statistical data handling analysis
- Knowledge of metrology processes such as CSAM, X-ray, FTIR, XRF, SEM/EDS, or XPS
