Sr. Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design new industrial pump products, components, and assemblies from conception to commercialization using sound engineering principles.
• Lead technical design reviews, DFMEA, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential product issues.
• Manage development projects through the engineering phase, ensuring timelines and documentation requirements are met.
• Support the design, testing, and assembly of prototypes, including rapid prototyping.
• Mentor and review the work of junior product design engineers and CAD designers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component manufacturability and design intent.
• Perform customer visits to develop product specifications and troubleshoot field issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience as a design engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and assembly.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, and operating manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment and hydraulic design.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with rapid prototyping.
