About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to support advanced manufacturing processes
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for manufacturing equipment
- Execute multiple projects from initiation to completion, including developing scope, cost estimates, and schedules
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in manufacturing environments and provide third-level support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions for advanced manufacturing systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including NEC, NFPA, and IEC guidelines
- Support the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in electrical design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, and UL508A
- Hands-on experience with Low Voltage (480VAC) electrical systems, including SCR, Transformers, Power Distribution, Motor controls/VFD, and PLC
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or DMAIC principles
- Experience in project leadership and management
- Familiarity with MATLAB & Simulink
