Sr Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the software architecture and system design of highly scalable, distributed, and data-intensive microservices
• Partner with product teams and leadership to define and execute strategic technical roadmaps
• Align technical direction with business needs, balancing short-term opportunities with long-term vision
• Champion industry best practices to elevate development standards across the organization
• Hire, mentor, and build high-performing engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 15+ years of experience in complex system design and hands-on development using Java and AWS
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience within large, distributed organizations
• Thorough understanding of Distributed Systems, including scalability, performance, reliability, and security
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS architectures with an API-first mindset
• Expertise in modern technology stacks, microservices, and stream processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Information Retrieval using Lucene, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch
• Exposure to Vector Databases and ML Infrastructure
• Experience with Knowledge Graphs or Graph Databases
• Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure and improving system reliability at scale
• Experience managing security and compliance challenges in cloud platforms
