Sr. Principal Advanced GS/Avionics Tech Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers through the hardware systems lifecycle, including design, analysis, and architecture
• Develop and document subsystem requirements, test plans, and perform peer reviews as a subject matter expert
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to meet project commitments and manage supplier performance
• Lead efforts in proposal development and collaborate with functional management, customers, and suppliers
• Conduct root-cause failure investigations and present technical findings to management and government customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in flight avionics with electrical hardware development
• Experience in systems engineering, requirement development, and/or requirement validation
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret)
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in designing and troubleshooting antennas, analog RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards, or configurable logic
• Experience with missile systems or similar aerospace technologies
• Knowledge of Earn Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Management (CAM)
• Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and DOD hardware development processes
• Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and driving supplier commitments
