Sr. Plumber Steamfitter/MM

Responsibilities

• Perform complex plumbing, steamfitting, and mechanical duties for University facilities
• Work independently within a designated zone or as the sole technician on a specific campus
• Estimate work requirements and procure appropriate materials for projects
• Guide and instruct craft trainees or a group of maintenance mechanics
• Execute tasks based on work orders with minimal instruction or assistance
• Perform general duties in other trade areas as assigned

Requirements

• High school or vocational school education (or equivalent)
• 4 years of experience performing plumbing and steamfitting tasks
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and blueprints
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with welding and brazing
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
