Sr. Plating Engineer, Supplier Quality

Responsibilities

• Conduct QSA and QPA process audits on plating suppliers and follow up on Corrective Action Reports (CAR)
• Support commodity SQA in managing plating quality issues with suppliers
• Perform regular process audits at supplier sites to drive continuous quality improvement and capability development
• Maintain and update the approved plating vendor database in coordination with plating GSQ
• Coach FAI/IQC teams to ensure correct understanding and implementation of plating inspection requirements
• Support testing qualification, failure analysis, and provide technical support for plating parts
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide training and knowledge sharing regarding plating processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related Engineering field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management specifically focused on plating processes (R2R and Rack plating)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong knowledge of ISO9000 and familiarity with 8D, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and DOE methodologies
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to anticipate, plan, and self-monitor workload
