About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture on donors and program plasmapheresis machines
  • Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any donor reactions
  • Execute setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment
  • Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on machines
  • Record donor vitals including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, hematocrit, and weight
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
  • Greet donors and coordinate their movement through the donor floor
  • Maintain center cleanliness by stocking supplies and assisting with proper waste disposal

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for the entire work shift
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • Ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role
