About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to an outsourced third-party payroll processor to ensure accurate and timely payments for 20,000 employees.
  • Act as a relationship manager for cross-functional teams including Payroll Services, Customer Service, Tax Filing, and Garnishment.
  • Analyze, audit, and validate control totals from timekeeping solutions for payroll processing.
  • Prepare and upload necessary pay components to support weekly, biweekly, and monthly processing cycles.
  • Escalate and resolve complex timekeeping and attendance issues.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries via the shared Payroll inbox and ticketing management system.
  • Generate and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports to track labor costs for finance and operational departments.
  • Assist in payroll and timekeeping audits by providing necessary documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
