About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plant-specific nuclear licensed operations training programs for Reactor Operators (RO) and Non-Licensed Operators (NLO).
  • Conduct performance-based training in classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments.
  • Ensure training programs incorporate updated information from INPO, NRC bulletins, design changes, and procedure revisions.
  • Prepare trainee examinations, conduct evaluations, and provide individualized counseling and training recommendations.
  • Support business initiatives, project management, refuel outages, and emergency preparedness duties.
  • Participate in NRC and INPO audits and prepare responses to audit findings.
  • Maintain auditable training records and reports required to document program activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related power plant operator experience, OR
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science with 2-3 years of related experience (depending on seniority).
  • For Senior roles: Previous Equipment Operator experience, current/previous SRO certification, or specific nuclear technical background as outlined in the job description.
  • Ability to meet unescorted access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination.
  • Compliance with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standards for personnel selection and training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial nuclear training.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
