Sr. Member Service Officer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong member relationships by providing excellent service and financial advice.
• Identify member needs to recommend products such as Money Markets, Certificates, Trust accounts, HSA, IRA, and consumer loans.
• Promote marketing campaigns and educate members on the benefits of various financial services.
• Handle advanced account maintenance, including troubleshooting fraud, account errors, and card issues.
• Process consumer loan applications and follow up with members regarding necessary documentation.
• Perform operational tasks in a dual control capacity to ensure security and compliance.
• Conduct outbound calls and sales efforts to generate new deposits and deepen existing member relationships.
• Complete required branch reports, logs, and balancing records accurately.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent; a related college degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial institution (Member Service/New Accounts) or a comparable customer service role.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales goals or cross-selling expectations.
• Extensive cash handling experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Symitar for Windows (Epysis).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Thorough understanding of financial regulations and credit union procedures.
