Sr Medical Scientist

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate clinical, scientific, and educational presentations to healthcare providers regarding HIV treatment and prevention.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to cultivate and maintain relationships with medical thought leaders and opinion leaders.
• Provide timely field insights to strategy and competitive intelligence teams regarding treatment practices and trends.
• Participate in advisory boards, educational programs, speaker training sessions, and clinical conferences.
• Collaborate with internal functional areas including Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams.
• Respond to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental products and present complex scientific data.
• Support Phase IV programs by collaborating with investigators and recommending sites for clinical trials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience, OR Master's Degree with 8 years of experience, OR PhD with 2 years of experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a medically related profession (e.g., HIV treatment or prevention).
• Ability to travel 75% of the time, including regular overnights and occasional weekends.
• Valid driver's license for travel by car.
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of the clinical research process and professional society treatment guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced medical, scientific, or clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, NP/PA).
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare field.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality presentations to large groups.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
