Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design unique mechanical and electromechanical solutions for next-generation production and R&D pyrolyzers
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system malfunctions and performance gaps through root cause analysis
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and commissioning campaigns to validate design intent
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers
• Provide hands-on support for production machines and assist engineering technicians with critical operations problems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5-8 years of professional mechanical engineering experience
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically OnShape
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer, sensor selection, and actuator selection
• Experience with DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Expertise in GD&T and basic fabrication techniques
• Experience designing electromechanical systems and material handling solutions
• Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting and assembly
