About the role
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end commissioning of new pyrolyzer revisions, including system integration and onsite testing.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturing quality and build conformance.
- Lead the physical stand-up of new pyrolyzer units onsite, coordinating with technicians and operations leadership.
- Design, test, and implement tooling improvements for pyrolyzer cleaning, turnaround, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain pyrolyzer SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with operators to identify pain points and translate feedback into design and process improvement proposals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in process engineering, commissioning, or industrial operations.
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven ability to commission and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
- Experience with hardware and tooling design.
- Strong technical documentation and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to contract manufacturers and other sites.
- Comfort being hands-on with equipment more than half of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of pyrolysis, gasification, or other thermal conversion processes.
- Experience executing formal hardware test campaigns and documenting results.
- Familiarity with MES/ERP systems and production data workflows.
- Proficiency with Linux, Python, or scripting languages for data collection or automation.
