Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, build, and delivery of key Games-time venues
• Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate department staff and supervise design teams
• Develop and adhere to departmental budgets and monitor deliverables
• Support the integration of internal stakeholders with external delivery partners including architecture and engineering
• Facilitate approvals and review processes for venue technical requirements
• Establish working relationships with Event Management, Hospitality, and Games Operations
• Work with the IOC and IPC to understand requirements and expedite approvals
• Align with the Infrastructure Program Management sub-function for procurement and cost coordination

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of industry experience in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, or related field
• Familiarity with temporary infrastructure projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of California Building Code requirements
• Previous experience in event operations, logistics, or hospitality
