About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate chemical formulation-based product development to support core business growth.
- Direct formulation development teams to create, optimize, and scale new products from concept through commercialization.
- Identify and execute formulation superiority programs, including enhanced performance attributes and new testing methodologies.
- Evaluate emerging chemical innovations and partner cross-functionally to define raw material and processing requirements.
- Oversee raw material substitution and reformulation initiatives to improve cost savings, supply resilience, and sustainability.
- Manage R&D formulation timelines, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies to ensure milestone achievement.
- Proactively assess technical risks and define mitigation strategies from concept through commercialization.
- Guide and mentor team members, fostering technical rigor and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a technical team.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in formulation.
- Extensive knowledge of chemical technologies and processes.
- Expertise in Process Development to set up production lines and scale up formulations.
- Proven ability to commercialize products within complex child safety and regulatory constraints.
- Flexibility to travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements.
