Sr. Manager SRE

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a 12-18 month technical vision and roadmap for the SRE center in Mexico City
• Drive reliability transformation across settlement, observability, and automation domains
• Pioneer AI and agentic automation approaches for alert classification, runbook generation, and automated remediation
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives to standardize tooling and drive observability platform convergence
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex production incidents across distributed systems
• Architect automation for high-risk operational processes including certificate rotation and compliance generation
• Mentor and elevate engineers through design reviews, coaching, and establishing engineering standards
• Partner with US and UK leadership to influence global architectural decisions and reliability strategy

Requirements

• Professional English fluency
• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of experience in SRE, production operations, or reliability engineering
• Experience in DevOps Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in Java, Python, or Go
• 6+ years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 5+ years of experience with container orchestration (Docker or Kubernetes)
• Experience with Shell or Bash scripting
• 5+ years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing automation solutions using agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot CLI)
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills across distributed systems
• Familiarity with payments, financial services, or other regulated high-availability domains
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP, DNS, TLS)
