Sr. Manager, SOX Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the company’s SOX compliance program, including planning, documentation, testing coordination, and status reporting
• Own and maintain the risk and control matrix, including updates for new processes and remediation activities
• Administer Workiva Controls, including documentation, process narratives, and evidence tracking
• Work with process owners to evaluate control design and identify gaps
• Serve as the primary coordination point for external auditors and internal audit outsource partners
• Support the development and maintenance of accounting and internal control policies
• Assist with control deficiency evaluations and remediation planning
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, IT, Operations, and HR to support a consistent control environment

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, internal audit, SOX compliance, or a related control-focused role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience working in a public company SOX environment
• Prior experience with a Big 4 or large national public accounting firm
• CPA or CIA certification required
• Strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting and control design principles
• Experience maintaining risk and control matrices and process narratives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Workiva Controls or a similar GRC platform is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting control design for new systems, process transformations, or acquisition integration
• Knowledge of public company governance expectations and financial reporting risks
• Experience working in a fast-paced, growing public company environment
