Sr. Manager, Sales Commissions

Responsibilities

• Own all accounting for sales commissions, including expense recognition, accruals, deferrals, and ASC 606 capitalization
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over commission calculation, accounting, and payout processes
• Partner with Sales Operations to translate compensation plans and crediting rules into accurate calculations
• Manage the end-to-end commission tool, driving system enhancements and automation to reduce manual steps
• Collaborate with FP&A on commission forecasting, accrual assumptions, and variance analysis
• Lead and develop commission team members, establishing clear accountability and review standards
• Act as a strategic advisor to leadership regarding sales compensation structure and financial impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically including commission or incentive compensation accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal control frameworks
• Experience working in a public company environment, including supporting external and internal audits
• Proven track record of managing complex accounting processes and system integrations
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with commission systems such as Xactly
• Experience in high-growth or complex SaaS environments
