About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an effective financial governance and controls framework to ensure regulatory compliance and manage risk.
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to senior leaders on financial governance based on in-depth business understanding.
- Lead the execution of oversight and governance activities, including monitoring, measurement, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a primary subject matter expert for regulatory reporting, interpreting new or changing regulations and assessing their impact.
- Manage databases and provide support for analysis, forecasting, and data visualization in adherence with data governance standards.
- Lead change management activities and collaborate across the organization to ensure consistent communication and messaging.
- Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to track performance and address issues.
- Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and accountability while coaching and developing team members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in financial governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the business and regulatory environment.
- Expert-level analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and influence skills.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and collaborate effectively across functional groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of control frameworks such as SOX 404, COBIT, and COSO.
- Experience in designing sustainable solutions for complex, non-routine governance problems.

- Competitive salary range of $102,000.00 - $190,000.00.
